LUCIE LEDERHENDLER // Montreal, Quebec, Canada

When I dream, I dream in impossible architectures. Structures and landscapes unfold with the storylines—chutes, ladders, and barriers that cannot be and yet are. Often, I stumble into what a dear friend of mine calls “water temples,” which take the form of baths, pools, or oceans. In the solitude of my dreamscape, I immerse myself and glide with the freedom of a fish. This is my proposition: art is for expressing the utterly inconceivable.
