What is art for?

The teachers and staff who met and continue to meet inside of my 13” screen space. The new “ZOOM” normal. As I stitched portraits in the most rudimentary way, I considered the deadly disease infecting our lives. The intention started with a grid of faces, and slowly evolved to contain those few whose relationships I most missed and valued. This slow process of making came to represent how Art is for “remembering”, one stitch at a time.
